Cassie has discovered that another train will get her closer to kitchen town than the one her mother and the others are on. It is also opposed to the one everyone else took which will require transferring and get them to kitchen town half an hour later than Cassie will arrive. Cassie's task is to find 'tako,' which she believes is octopus. She hasn't seen Juliet or Dallas since their flight, and wonders if they are ahead or behind. On the train, Cassie buys a drink called Pocari Sweat, and considers sending the can to Dan to add to his collection of strange food items. Cassie has no trouble finding Kappabashi and then locating a store which seems to have what she is looking...
