Chapter 6 Summary

Sookie and Hugo are forced into the basement and told that Farrell is down there, about to wake in the early dusk. Sookie attempts to get away and breaks her cheekbone when the guard, Gabe, knocks her feet out from under her as she climbs the stairs. Hugo and Sookie are locked into a cell. Hugo tells Sookie that he has been informing on the vampires to the Fellowship because of his doubts about a case he won for Stan that allowed Stan the right to live where he chose. Gabe comes back and tells Sookie he intends to rape her. Gabe puts Hugo in the cell with Farrell, knowing that Farrell has not fed in five days and is eager despite the fact that he is chained with silver to keep his powers to a minimum. Gabe then attempts to attack Sookie...
