Summary

After returning from Mexico, Merit struggles to settle back into a normal routine in her life with Cory. By the time she goes to work the next week, she finds herself anxious about the fact that Jane has not called her since they parted ways at the airport. When Cory calls her at work and suggests they take an impromptu vacation to Hawaii with the boys, Merit finds herself shocked into agreeing and surprised by the gesture, which she considers uncharacteristic of Cory. Not knowing what else to do, she decides to call Jane, who picks up immediately and seems grateful that Merit has finally broken the silence between them.
