Chapters 31 and 32 Summary

In Chapter 31, back at Court, Lissa is coming to the same conclusion as Rose—that Daniella is the one who killed Tatiana. Lissa is doing her hair and getting dressed to give her speech to the Council. When Lissa arrives in the Council room, Tasha confirms that Daniella was there the night Tatiana was murdered, but the official logs do not reflect her visit. Lissa is the last of the three candidates left to give her speech, in which she captivates the audience. When Lissa's speech ends and she is told that she cannot go on as a candidate for queen because she does not have at least one more living relative, the crowd goes wild, arguing that Lissa should be allowed to run.
