Helge Forfang aka Prim

Helge Forfang, known by his family as Prim, is one of two villains in the novel. Helge is responsible for the murders of Susanne, Bertine, Helene, Røed, Kevin, and Fredric.

Helge committed the murders because he was intent on getting revenge against his stepfather, Røed, and his uncle, Fredric. Helge’s stepfather sexually abused him from the time Helge was six. Helge also believes that Røed was responsible for his mother’s death because it was determined the fire had been caused by Molle smoking in bed. Helge knew his mother did not smoke in bed. He also recognized the brand of cigarettes found at the scene as those his stepfather smoked. Helge wanted revenge on his uncle, Fredric, because Fredric was really his biological father.
