Summary

The Preface is a letter that Gabby Rivera's narrator, Juliet Milagros Pilante, writers to author Harlowe Brisbane to commend her for her book, Raging Flower: Empowering Your Pussy by Empowering Your Mind. Juliet calls the book "her bible", and, while praising Brisbane for it, also questions whether her version of feminism has space for brown people like Juliet. She notes that book has provided her a sense of refuge from her reality, and that she wants to understand more about what the author talks about in her writing in terms of self-discovery.
