Joni Eareckson

Joni (pronounced Johnny) is named after her father, Johnny Eareckson. The true story of Joni Eareckson entitled, "Joni," is the account of her life after a tragic diving accident that leaves her paralyzed, a life-long quadriplegic. The reader is privy to her harrowing transformation from a healthy, athletic, happy 18-year-old to a wheelchair bound young woman who will never have use of her arms or legs again. With her whole life ahead of her, Joni has to deal with her physical challenges as well as the potentially more destructive psychological hurdles.
