Summary

In Chapter 12, after having no luck with the census bureau or the electoral register because both required a court order to release any kind of information, Rob and Cassie paid a visit to Pamela Fitzgerald. She identified the girl as Sandra Scully and said she still lived with her mother.

Cassie talked to Sandra alone and reported to Rob what she learned. Sandra had been dating Cathal Mills. Cathal told Sandra that Jonathan, one of his best friends, wanted to have sex with her as well. Sandra agreed because she liked Jonathan. When Shane Waters, Cathal’s other friend, found out what was happening, he wanted his turn at Sandra as well.

In Chapter 13, as Cassie and Rob drove to the Devlins’ house to question Jonathan, Cassie suggested that Sandra should be considered a suspect because of the rape.
