Chapter 22 Summary

Karrde has the meeting with Han and Lando and is intrigued by the New Republic's offer. Karrde hesitates however on taking them up on the deal as he fears it would appear as though he is taking sides. Finishing their meeting, Karrde offers to serve dinner. During the dinner, Karrde is pulled away to receive a message. He discovers that the Chimaera has just come out of lightspeed and is approaching the planet. As they are likely to land at Karrde's location, he tells one of his associates to hide the Falcon under cover. When Thrawn hails Karrde, he says he needs more ysalamiri and wants to have a talk. He tells Karrde that he is in the market for some new warships. During their conversation, Karrde slips up and indicates that he might have found Luke Skywalker. Thrawn now insists on coming...
