Chapter 11 - Colton Burpo, Collection Agent

After Colton is home from the hospital, the family is able to rest for a while. The bills start coming, and they realize they owed nearly $23,000. With their finances depleted after Todd's issues, the number seems extremely large and impossible to pay. The medical bills on top of that are even higher. They agree to pay their tithe as a matter of priority no matter what. Colton also insists that they pay the doctor. He tells them Jesus used the doctor to fix him. This is a pretty big message from a child who isn't even four yet. Money begins to come in from donations with notes attached. The checks add up to the total they need to pay their bills, almost to the dollar.
