Chapter 6 - North Platte

On Wednesday, the parents tell the staff at the hospital that they are going to take Colton to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte. They think about going to Children's, but feel that it was too far away and they want to stay close to their home base. They call ahead to the doctor to let them know that they are coming. Colton continues throwing up during the hour-and-a-half-long trip.

It is easy to blame themselves for not recognizing how severe the problem has been, but they know that they had to continue doing their best rather than dwelling on regrets.
