Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is the state where Beyah plans to go to college. She has been awarded a scholarship to play volleyball for Penn State. Beyah had planned to go directly from her home in Kentucky to Pennsylvania at the end of the summer for college, but her mother’s death changed her plans. After Beyah learned the truth about Samson and he was sentenced to jail, Beyah considered not attending college. However, Samson and her family convinced her to go forward with her plans.

Secluded Beach

Samson takes Beyah to a secluded beach for a picnic and time together. While they are on the beach, P.J., the dog, locates and begins digging up Rake’s skeleton. Samson insists that Beyah leave him alone with the skeleton so he can bury the man’s remains at sea.
