Summary

Chapter Six continues the morning of Colm’s wedding. Vincent remembers telling Loup that she would not sleep with Cillian. However, she recognizes that he is a vulnerable and loving man that she built a family with.

At the wedding, she lets Cillian hold her hand as Colm sees his bride. The two dance to the same song from their own wedding at the reception, and Vincent thinks of all of the reasons she should forgive Cillian. She believes that Loup’s love is quick, while Cillian’s will continue forever.

They kiss that night, and Vincent tells Cillian about her emails with Tully. Vincent is also surprised to learn that Cillian did not sleep with anyone, and she lies saying that she only used a vibrator. She agrees to more kisses, but not sex. Afterward, she texts Loup who misses her...
