St. Louis

St. Louis, Missouri is located in the Midwest of the United States. St. Louis is well known for the arch, a monument erected in the city. The Missouri river runs through St. Louis and in the case of Guilty Pleasures, the river serves as a separation between the territories of Nikolaos and Malcolm and the Church of Eternal Life.

Since vampirism became legal, St. Louis is one of the cities in the U.S. that seemed to attract the most vampires. New York also has a large population of vampires, but St. Louis has a lower crime rate and the vampires must feel safer among the St. Louis law enforcement than those in New York.

St. Louis is the main setting in Guilty Pleasures. It is home to the vampire strip club Guilty Pleasures, Animators, Inc., the Circus of the Damned, and Anita Blake.
