Chapters 43-48 Summary

Anita and Edward arrive at the cemetery. There is no one else at the cemetery, and Anita decides to wait for a little while in case the client and the zombie daughter are running late. Anita notices a solitary ghoul on top of her car and attempts to shoo it away. Anita tells Edward that ghouls are typically afraid of humans unless the humans are incapacitated. Anita begins to worry when the ghoul will not go away. Instead, it becomes aggressive. It is becoming clear to Anita that she has been set up and that there is no client. Someone must have called Bert and convinced the boss that the client was ready to lay his daughter to rest.
