Summary

One night, Alma called Owen at two in the morning. They made plans to go on a walk together soon.

Later that weekend, Owen met James at “a barn in Germantown called Schadenfreude” (67). He borrowed one of Pop’s shirts to wear out. In the car, James told Owen about his girlfriend Taylor and when she cheated on him. Not long into their time at Schadenfreude, they ran into “Casey from Jungle Narratives” (71). James found a hat that said “No Blacks, No Whites, Just Blues” on the sidewalk (72). He was offended by the slogan. Casey made him put it on and took a Polaroid of him. After more drinking and dancing, Owen headed for home. He urinated in an alley and looked up to see Casey and Alma kissing nearby.
