Point of View

The novel is written from the limited perspective of Cin, an adult werewolf who is estranged from her pack and living a relatively solitary life managing a bookstore in a small town in Alaska. The limited perspective means the reader knows only what Cin knows. The perspective is somewhat less limited because the Cin reveals scenes and characters honestly. This means the reader is sometimes able to suspect problems before Cin actually encounters them. For example, Cin is in the beach house with Bebe and Han when they encounter Havoc. She quickly realizes that Han is gone, and she accepts his explanation that he thought she had run away before he ran.. The reader will likely realize that Han is lying, but Cin seems to have no idea about that possibility.
