Summary

In Chapter 10, Anita invited Minkus, a Georgia-based jeweler, "to the Santa Clara expo along with many other renowned gold dealers" (273). Anita wanted Minkus at the event, because his jewelry was especially valuable (274).

As Neil and Prachi wandered the expo, Neil considered snorting the cocaine in his pocket. He thought it would help him focus on the plan. Then they met up with Anita. Before they began looking for Prachi's wedding gold, Anita made Neil promise he would not get high and sabotage their plans. Neil was offended that she did not trust him. Immediately afterwards, he took the coke.
