Summary

In Chapter 21, Lacey, Daisy and Florin continue driving towards Reno in the night. Daisy plays her affirmations CD to keep moving forward. At first, Daisy refuses to leave the car. Later, they stop at McDonald’s and Daisy manages to go inside.

They arrive in cold, grey Reno the next day. They go into the Pony Club, finding it very depressing. Lacey talks to a young dancer with a broken jaw from a man kicking her. Daisy and Florin get Louise’s address from the bartender. They leave.

They find a small, desolate apartment building. Lacey goes in alone. Rick answers the door. He is not wearing his cowboy hat and is toothless and ugly. She tells him she is from the phone. He explains this is where his girls live and he broadcasts live shows of them naked. Lacey asks where they are...
