Summary

In Section 5, Cat is overwhelmed by all the spirits at the celebration. She does not understand what is happening, and Seo Young tells her to “go with it!” (186). There is music and dancing. Seo Young looks for Pablo, the cute ghost she met last year. She also introduces Cat to some of the other ghosts. Seo young shows Cat how to blow a kiss to the ghosts to help them speak. Cat goes to the fountain and sits next to the ghost of an old woman. Cat asks if she is her grandmother, but she is not. She gets a bottle of soda and takes it to the old woman and sits with her. The old woman tells Cat she thinks she has a good spirit.

Cat sees Carlos, and he introduces her to Tío José, who died as a child...
