Boston

Boston is the main setting of the story. Julie leaves Ohio to go to Boston to attend Whitney college. Matt Watkins attends MIT, a very prestigious school. Erin is affiliated with Harvard University.

Julie immediately falls in love with the culture of Boston. She is enthralled by the wide variety of people she sees daily in Cambridge Square. Boston represents everything that Julie's life in Ohio was not. Boston offers an opportunity for Julie to grow into the person she was meant to be.

The story covers an entire year in Boston, from the sweltering hot, humid summer to the icy, frigid temperatures of winter. Julie loves it all.

The Watkins family lives in Boston and takes Julie in as one of their own. The family has an intimate knowledge of the city and shares it with Julie. The only place the family will not go is to...
