Summary

Grace meets Rafe for lunch at a sandwich place nearby his workplace. Grace updates him on Maya's troubles and tells him about the letter from Peach's parents. She sits close to him and knocks her hips against him to chide him. Grace also tells him about the origin of the name Peach and the difference between the terms "mom" and a "bio mom" (231). Joaquin tries to encourage Grace to tell her siblings about the baby, saying it is not fair to them to assume how they would react (232). He says that he shares everything with his sister, but she also "judges the hell" out of him sometimes.

When she arrives home, Grace researches her bio mom, Melissa Taylor, online. She feels like Alice from Alice in Wonderland, when Alice becomes too small and falls inside a bottle that gets washed out to sea...
