"After the Storm" Summary

The narrator gets into a fight in a bar in a beach community near Key West. He leaves the bar and goes out of his boat, which is caught in a bad storm. The next morning he discovers a wrecked luxury yacht. He tries to salvage the riches within the yacht, but has to leave it when another storm begins. When he gets back to land he is taken to prison because of the bar fight. By the time he gets out on bail and can return to the yacht, he discovers that someone else has already stripped it. He regrets that he was not able to take the wealth out of the yacht.
