Summary

These pages are part of Book Two title Time Regained. The chapter opens with Edgar staring into Florence’s casket. She is now dead and both Edgar and Lucy are extremely anxious for the future. He feels partly to blame, thinking that his burnt meatballs are what killed his grandmother. Edgar stares into the casket and disapproves of how they have made his grandmother look. Many people show up to pay their respects. Most are shop owners from local businesses Florence has patronized for decades. Lucy is surprised to see that both Ron Salvatore, the butcher, and her estranged father have both shown up. She greets Ron with hesitation and does not understand why he came to Florence’s viewing.
