Alyssa Morrow

Alyssa is a 16-year-old who lives an ordinary life with her parents, her younger brother Garrett, and her Uncle Herb. She is a compassionate character who tends to be kind and giving until she realizes that the fight for water is serious and that her family's survival depends on having water. When Alyssa, Garrett, and Herb go to a local store for water, Alyssa finds that people are already beginning to panic. She is smart and the first among the mob to realize that ice will melt into water. She is able to get out of the store with her buggy loaded with ice only because Herb intervenes in a confrontation.
