Chapter 13 Summary

The six days since the tragedy are difficult, and Robintin wishes viewing the Red Star could be put off, but pressure for an expedition is high, the novelty helps relieves depression, and doing so demonstrates the dragonmen's sincerity about ridding Pern of Thread. Wansor has set up the distance-viewer on the Star Stones at Fort Weyr, where it is discovered, and which has technical advantages of elevation, angles, and altitude.
