Summary

Jacob left Arkansas for Kansas City the following spring with his new love. He enjoyed the more vibrant nightlife of living in the city. He continued dating Isaac’s mother while she finished high school and planned to go to college. She loved poetry.

That summer, she fell pregnant. They were not yet married, and Jacob had wanted to buy a house and a car before he proposed. He always felt ashamed of himself for getting her pregnant before they were married. After they got married, Jacob bought a beautiful new house with rose bushes in front.
