Summary

Dombey is sick and possibly dying in Chapter 61. Florence and Susan care for him. Dombey is delirious and often does not recognize Florence or know where he is, sometimes believing that Paul has just died. He keeps repeating the question Paul asked him many years ago: “What is money?” over and over. Dombey now loves Walter and baby Paul who often sit in his room with him as he recovers.

One day Cousin Feenix arrives and asks Florence to come with him. Walter accompanies them though he waits in the car while Feenix takes Florence into his house to meet someone.
