Point of View

This is a graphic novel about a character who has a dog's head and the body of a cop. The basic story is that George and Harold – two youngsters who are an aspiring writer and illustrator – have created the Dog Man series. The novel is therefore limited to the perspectives they wish to convey. There are many situations in which the perspective is limited so that the reader does not always get the full story. For example, an opening scene shows Dog Man running across a shark's head. The scene makes it seem the shark is emerging from the water and that Dog Man is in danger. Later, the reader sees that scene from a wider perspective. The shark is actually on the roof of a restaurant and is not real.
