Petey

Petey the Cat was originally a villain in this series, but he is now firmly on the side of the good guys. Petey cloned himself to create Li'l Petey, and he now fills the role of Li'l Petey's Papa. Petey becomes disheartened in this novel because someone judges him for his past mistakes, and he seems to wonder why he is trying. He does not dwell on this for long, and promptly continues to do the right thing. Petey usually shouts and seems grouchy with everyone else, but this is a central part of his nature rather than anger. He often gives advice, and is annoyed when Li'l Petey and Molly seem to respond better when Sarah gives the same advice.
