Chapter 16-20 Summary

In chapter sixteen, Helder and Sokolov learn more what is expected of them after the mission. If they complete the mission, they are to return to the mother sub. If Helder and Sokolov are captured, they must take a pill that will instantly kill them. If they can make it ashore, they will assume the legends that Mr. Jones has spent the last few months teaching them. They will make contact with people at Malibu to be picked up. However, Helder is taken aside and told that if they cannot make it back to the mother ship, he is to kill Sokolov.
