Jane's Penny

This is a symbol of Jane's connection to her family, including Aunt Aggie who gave it to her before she left Rose Hill. Jane wears it as a necklace, and the penny grows cold when she is in danger and is warm when she is not. The penny begins growing cold when Gideon is near, which is the first hint that he is dangerous.
