Summary

The novel shifts back to the flight. Jordan has specifically ordered a vegan meal on the flight. He has been vegetarian for some time, and he recently switched to being vegan. Bruce both admires this choice and is somewhat annoyed by it. As Linda eats her meal, she worries about the future. She is unsure how she will support herself and a child if Gary does not propose.
