Chapters 27-29 Summary

Five days out of Coruscant, the first expedition comes out of hyperspace, spot dreadnaughts, and deploy the X-wing. The Force tells Luke to explore a specific ship, which turns out to be Katana, the flagship and master. The deserted vessel has been well-maintained by droids, but propulsion needs an overhaul. Suddenly, the Escort Frigate Quenfis appears, and Capt. Virgilio places the boarding party under arrest. Fey'lya gloats and suggests the X-wings be launched to prove Virgilio is serious. When Wedge speaks up, he is threatened with court martial. The argument is interrupted by the appearance of the Star Destroyer Judicator, which promptly deploys drop ships. Insisting he is in charge, Fey'lya orders a quick retreat and draws a blaster on Leia when she objects.

Capt. Brandei, commanding Judicator, detects Rebels aboard only one dreadnaught. He launches TIE fighters and informs Chimaera...
