Summary

At 14, Jamie sat at the Russian Tea Room in New York City with his parents. Jean ordered a champagne cocktail for Jamie and herself. Earl took a vodka martini. Jamie had wanted to go to New York with his drama club on Easter-break but Jean talked him into going with her and Earl. Mama Jean had switched from real estate salesman to Wall Street stockbroker.
