Selena Murphy

Selena Murphy works at a literary agency for her best friend Beth. Selena is married to Graham and the mother of two sons, Oliver and Stephen. From the outside, Selena appears to have an enviable life, but this perception is false. Selena catches Graham having an affair with Geneva, the family nanny, and ends up confiding the affair to Martha, a stranger on a train.

Selena is a strong woman, but she struggles with her marriage, including coming to terms with Graham’s temper, violence toward women, and serial adultery. Selena has spent time working on her marriage, but when Geneva goes missing, Selena cannot help but suspect Graham.
