Summary

Chapter 34 is told from Pearl’s perspective. Pearl is now living her life as Elizabeth and living with her college boyfriend Jason. Pearl thinks about what she would take if she had to leave in a hurry. One night she gets a call from Gracie asking Pearl to come and help. Pearl sneaks out and drives to the house to meet Gracie. Pearl sees Pop and Bridget dead on the floor. Gracie explains that Bridget killed Pop and that Gracie hit Bridget over the head with a bookend and killed Bridget. Pearl tells Gracie they need to get rid of the bodies.
