Summary

In Chapter 10, "The Virtue of Angels,” everyone except Henry seems exhausted at breakfast the following morning. Will announces that he was at a drug house the previous night. Will reveals that there were many werewolves there, and that they were buying “buckets” of yin fen (211). Will says he overheard a warlock saying the Magister was keeping the werewolves supplied with yin fen so they could work longer hours for him. Charlotte says she needs to talk to Woolsey Scott, leader of the local werewolves. She asks Henry to go along but he declines, saying he is working on a project.

Tessa goes for training while Will stays in the training room, obviously goading Gabriel. Gabriel reveals that Aloysius's granddaughter went mad when she received runes, apparently the result of inadequate training. Tessa is horrified that Gabriel is so indifferent about it. Gabriel reveals...
