Linh Cinder

Linh Cinder is the main character in the story. At a very young age, Cinder is in a fire that causes major damage. She is made into a cyborg at the time to replace lost limbs and help her regain lost functionality. When she is eleven, she is told she had been in an accident that took away her memory. Following this, she is supposedly orphaned, and Garan takes her under his care. Cinder starts the novel as a simple market girl, although her mechanic skills are renowned enough for the Prince to hear of her. She loves her step sister, Peony, but her step mother and other step sister are constantly cruel to her.
