When Dennistoun returns to England, he does not publish his experiences as he searchs for art for the museum at Cambridge. However, he does tell his friends about his experiences. One of these friends called Mr. Williams works for a museum. A friend tells him that a picture of a manor house in a latest art catalog might be of interest to him. Mr. Williams orders it to get a look at it. He is not that impressed by the artwork but decides he may try to find out where the manor house is located before he sends it back. He shows it to his friend who thinks he sees the shadow of a figure at the edge of the picture. Later on, he shows it to another friend who notices the figure.
