Rape

Rape is by far the most heinous crime that can be committed against another person. Rape is not a sexual act but one of power. The rapist seeks to dominate and to have control over the victim. The result of the rape is pain, humiliation, and fear.

Jade is stranded alongside the road when Neal, Hutch and Lamar pick her up under the ruse of taking her and Donna Dee back to town. Instead, Jade is taken against her will to the local fishing hole used by Neal and friends. Once at the fishing hole, Neal tells Jade of his intentions. The boys gang rape Jade. Fortunately, the author does not give graphic details, just enough to make one understand the humiliation, pain and fear.
