Chapter 1-5 Summary

Stacey, a junior in HilLcrest High School experiences recurring nightmares. They involve similar places and similar occurrences. She used to have them in the past, and now she has them again. This time they involve Drea, her closest friend and roommate.

Chapter 1 introduces us to Stacey's nightmares involving her getting away from someone in the forest. She is pursued by an attacker she is unable to see, only hearing the noises of someone walking behind her. Her realistic dreams indicate that her roommate Drea may be in danger. She carries out rituals to find out more about it, such as annointing a candle with her initials and drawing letters in the air.
