Part 2, Nesting: Chapter 19, Jody's Delicate Condition and Chapter 20, Angel Summary
Tommy gets used to the corpse in the freezer after a few weeks, nicknaming him Peary and chatting with him. Tommy complains to Peary about his troubles writing a short story about a farm girl in Georgia, how Jody doesn't appreciate what it means to be a writer, and how Jody never does any shopping. Tommy is continuing his experiments to find out about Jody's vampirism. She tries, and fails, to turn into mist and a wolf. She can't levitate, climb vertical surfaces, or project her thoughts.
Jody is curious about whether she is immortal, and Tommy comes up with a test. They will try drowning her in the bathtub, and Tommy will revive her if she dies. Jody is unaffected by the drowning, so as far...
