Summary

Thomas wakes up back in the Thrall and does not hear anything outside. He wakes Rachelle and Johan, and they see a world turned black. Their eyes and skin have turned gray. The two then violently fight over Teeleh’s fruit. Rachelle hits Thomas when he tries to stop him. Michal arrives and tells Thomas they are embracing evil. He then tells Thomas to take them to the lake before leaving. The Shataiki arrives and the three-run back into the Thrall. Thomas finds some of Elyon’s fruit stored and gives it to the other two. Johan is angry that they did not follow Tanis, and Thomas does not argue with him. Two hours later, he drags them out and toward the lake. Johan expresses fear that he might drown.
