Chapter 32 Summary

Close by the large structure that houses the Baekje is a lab run by a scientist from the former Soviet Union, who is been hired by Kang to create a chemical/biological weapon. He has discovered some success by combining HIV-1 with smallpox into a super-virus that is freeze-dried. Highly paid and a very sadistic, Sarghov the scientist is introduced in the book.

Chapter 32 Analysis

This chapter does not have a lot of action. It is more descriptive. It describes the sadistic scientist and alerts the reader to the level of danger that is imminent. However, the reader still does not know who the target is. Once again, without using flashback, Cussler is able to catch the reader up to the present by telling about the history of the lab, the scientist, and the virus effectively.
