Summary

Part Four begins with the narrator saying they made it to Luz, but asking what it cost.

In Chapter Forty, Ziva celebrates inside the city as the gates close and the Angel of Death leaves. However, they are surprised at how empty it seems. As they travel further, they find a crowd that is welcomed by a man named Ekam who says Pesah will live now that they are there. When Ziva asks where they can find the Milcham, as she hopes to use their feather to heal Pesah and leave, Ekam points them to the Milcham's castle. While Almas is clearly worried, all three agree to go.

So, in Chapter 41, Ziva and Almas help a weakened Pesah through gardens filled with shimmering feathers. At first, they think they are in the wrong place since they do not see a palace...
