Summary

Part Two opens with the narrator asking the reader if they would be reckless for someone they love. The narrator believes they would, though he wonders if Ziva’s love for Pesah will be enough. They say that she drove as far as she could, which is when she met the demon.

Chapter 14 starts as Ziva wakes up to someone trying to force open their wagon. She tries to sneak out the front to get the horses to run, but she is caught by a young, haggard looking boy. Two men command the boy to put her back in the wagon so they can take the spoils to camp. When he does, he sees Pesah and immediately apologizes after introducing himself as Almas.

In Chapter 15, Pesah questions where Almas’s parents are, while Almas wonders if Pesah and Ziva’s parents...
