Summary

Mira and Shelley arrived at the Darvish property along with several members of Birnam Wood. They began their work for Birnam Wood, tilling the soil, irrigating crops, and planting seeds. As Mira and Shelley worked, they discussed the idea of thanking someone for doing something rather than apologizing. They bonded by mocking Amber’s intensity and seriousness and discussed the details of her argument with Tony. Shelley became uncomfortable, so she switched the subject to incorporating Birnam Wood once they became fully funded and suggested changing the name to a Māori phrase, citing the need to address the Treaty and incorporate biculturalism. Mira countered that using a Māori name would be appropriation.
