Above the Shop

Above the Shop is what Ruby and her family call their home. They live in the same building as the business her father owns, a pet shop. They do not really live above it since the kitchen and dining room are on the same floor as the pet shop but the rest of the house is upstairs and so they call it Above the Shop. This is where Ruby lives from the time she is born until a fire destroys the main floor of the building when Ruby is 8 years old.
