Summary

In Chapter 8, last September, Brooke is listening to the radio as she drives to her office. She is still recovering from a weekend migraine, the first since her husband, Grant, moved out of the house. She is proud that she took care of herself and wonders what her mother would say based on the podcasts she listens to about migraines. Brooke thinks that it is not fair for Joy to act like an expert now because she is not a migraine sufferer. Brooke knows that her mother wants redemption for not helping her when she had migraines as a child. Brooke also knows that she is not giving Joy what she wants.
